This privacy policy explains how personal data is collected and used when you visit alicjaszaraniec.com, send a message, subscribe to the newsletter, or book a call. I keep this simple and honest, the same way I run the rest of my work.

Who is responsible for your data

What data is collected and why

Contact form. When you send a message, I collect your name, email address, phone number if you choose to share it, and the content of your message. I use this to respond to your inquiry and, where relevant, to prepare for a conversation about working together.

Newsletter. When you subscribe, I collect your first name and email address, together with your consent. This is used to send you the materials you requested and the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

Booking a call. When you book through the calendar on this site, scheduling is handled by Calendly, which collects your name, email address, and the details you choose to provide when booking.

Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are read and which buttons are clicked. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

Who processes your data

I use a small number of trusted service providers to run this site and my business:

Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms and appropriate safeguards. Some providers are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States; where that is the case, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Legal bases

Where EU data protection law (GDPR) applies, data is processed on the following bases: your consent, for the newsletter; steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, for inquiries and bookings; and legitimate interest, for site analytics and the security of the website.

How long data is kept

Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Inquiry and booking data is kept for as long as needed to handle the conversation and any engagement that follows, and afterwards only as long as legal or accounting obligations require. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email alicja@alicjaszaraniec.com. If you are in the EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
